Step 2 - Heat up to 194 °F (90 °C) and gently cool under agitation. Save this
thickened intermediate and set aside.
Step 3 – Add a percentage of the thickened intermediate into your cold processed batch to
increase viscosity or change rheology.

NatureThix 900 does not thicken pure silicone oils because they are highly non-polar.

NatureThix 900 is most efficient at thickening high-polarity oils such as castor oil. It can also build viscosity in low-polarity oils like squalene, which consists mainly of unsaturated hydrocarbons.
Your system must have enough emulsifier in the formulation. Make sure you have 25% emulsifier versus your oil phase (including NatureThix 900).
We have no history of testing in water-in-silicone systems. However, if there is an emulsifier and water present in the formula, NatureThix 900 will be able to thicken the solution.
